My name is Jessica, but I like to go by Jess sometimes.
I have a difficult time calling myself a photographer and keeping a straight face, but it might be an honest title. I decided I wanted to be one when I was 15 and went from there. Right now I do photography work at my school, but the pictures here are from my own shoots, or just everyday life. I’m spending the year at the University of Oxford, with perhaps some traveling in between terms, so that’s probably what you’ll see here for a while.
I’m obsessed with natural light (or available light, at least) and carrying as little gear as possible. Most of the shots were taken on my little Canon Rebel XTi, with either a 50mm f/1.8, 85mm f/1.8, or the cheapo 18-55mm f/3.5, which shall be replaced with a wider prime someday when I have a lot of money.
